Network for Justice in Palestine

PART 1: Name

1. The PALESTINE JUSTICE NETWORK, or PJN is the  name to be used in all official and formal representations and submissions, in all forms, written, verbal and all other forms of communication, made for, and on behalf of, the members of this Network.

PART 2: MISSION

To build a global network of activists and organizations that work together in advocacy in order to support the goals set forth by the Palestinian Civil Society Call to Action 2005.

Brief History

The most recent attack on Gaza at the end of 2008 and the beginning of 2009, over 1400 Palestinians were killed, most of them civilians.  In collaboration with local groups in the West Bank and colleagues in Gaza, the Palestinian Center for Rapprochement (http://www.pcr.ps/) that had been key in founding the International Solidarity Movement (http://palestinesolidarity.org) mobilized the international community to resist and oppose the onslaught.  The challenge was the lack of an existing network of organizations working for Palestinian advocacy.

About the Rapprochement Center

Palestine Justice network (PJN) was founded as an advocacy unit in The Palestinian Center for Rapprochement between People (PCR) in Palestine/Beit Sahour.

The PCR today is consider itself the mother NGO of the PJN and its host, because we are doing our activities through the PCR and under its umbrella,
